Techno-Cultural Fest AAROHAN-2K18 organized

Jammu, Feb 27: A two days Techno-Cultural Fest, "AAROHAN-2K18" spread on 25th and 26th Feb, 2018 was conducted on the lawns of the Mahant Bachittar Singh College of Engineering and Technology. The inaugural event started with lighting a traditional lamp by His Holiness Mahant Manjit Singh, Sole Trustee, the Chief guest of the occasion Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, Minister for Education, J&K Government, Chairman of the college Prof.(Dr.) O.S.Sudan, S. Sudershan Singh Wazir and others. Jb. Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari was presented Momento and Shawl on the occasion by the Sole Trustee who also blessed the students and staff of the college for the success of the event as well as wished a bright future for the outgoing batch.
Prof (Dr.) O.S.Sudan Chairman of the college in his inaugural address revisited the brief evolutionary history and background of the college since its inception in 1999 and highlighted the contributions made by Srimaan Mahant Bachittar Singh Ji and his present successor Sant of the Shromani Dera Nangli Sahib, poonch, Mahant Manjit Singh Ji the Sole Trustee of the Trust under the Aegis of which the college is being run.
Apart from other things of relevance, the Chairman drew the kind attention of the minister for Education towards the significant contribution being made by the private sector in the field of education and the importance of providing unstinted support of the government for its sustenance of the same to the private entrepreneurs.
The highlights of the achievements of the college especially in the field of academics and entrepreneurship as well as the contributions being made by upwards of about 4500 technical graduates thus far produced by the college.
In his address, Minister lauded the role of private institutions in imparting Higher Education in the state. He appreciated the college for having its huge infrastructure and ideal ambience. The education minister inspected evinced keen interest in the technical and other stalls setup by the students on different themes and innovative ideas. He encouraged the students for entrepreneurship and self-dependence. The Education Minister offered all sorts of possible help for the growth and development of the college on different fronts including its future expansions from the Government.
