Cops strike deal, name of bovine smuggler dropped from FIR | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 26: A Sub-Inspector (SI) who is posted as in-charge in a police post in Jammu district in connivance with his munshi struck deal with a bovine smuggler and dropped his name from FIR. If sources are to be believed, this sub inspector, in connivance with munshi of the police post dropped the name of the bovine smuggler from FIR after he along with others was arrested with bovines few weeks ago. "Few weeks ago a truck loaded with bovines without valid permission from concerned department was intercepted by police", alleged sources in the police department adding that the truck was seized and the bovines were rescued while all the smugglers were arrested. Sources further alleged that later, the SI and munshi of the police post struck deal with the main bovine smuggler to drop his name from the FIR. Sources further said that the SI charged huge money from the bovine smuggler which was later shared with the munshi. "The SI on his first posting in the Jammu district has allegedly started making relations with bovine smugglers as bovine smuggling is very big industry in the area" said a source. |
