Jammu, Mar 26: National Secular Forum (NSF) said if no action is taken to reinstate suspended students it will stage protest dharna in front of Raj Bhawan next week. Manmohan said that who expressed his solidarity with the aggrieved students saying that beating of student by Dean Students Welfare Department (DSW) is despicable. He said that silence of varsity administration for not taking action who crossed all the limits of decency. He said that the highhandedness of university administration can be gauged from the fact that instead of framing committee to find out the factual position and take action accordingly, the accused DSW misused her power and hurriedly suspended students just to hide her incompetence to befittingly handle students as a welfare officer. Now the high level enquiry committee constituted by the university comprises of laciest and pets of Prof R D Sharma designed to shield accused teacher, who failed to bring order and calmness amongst students. Demanding revocation of suspension order of students and immediate removal of an irresponsible Dean Students Welfare from a responsible chair, Manmohan urged the Chancellor and Pro Chancellor of university to personally intervene in the matter. |
