DC Kathua bans sale of stationery, uniform by pvt schools | Invokes Section 144 CrPC | | Early Times Report KATHUA, Apr 5: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kathua, Rohit Khajuria today imposed ban on sale of stationery, uniform etc by private schools in the district. The Deputy Commissioner in his order also maintained that no private school can charge admission fee for promotion of students to next class. It is pertinent to mention here that on Wednesday dozens of parents protested against hike in fees re-admission fees, building fees, annual fees charged by Private schools in Kathua district. The agitated parents held strong protest in front of CEO office Kathua to drawing attention of DC Kathua. The protest was held under the banner of Private Schools Parents Associations where they raised slogan against DC Kathua and CEO Kathua. Taking cognizance of the matter, DC Kathua immediately swung into action and issued an order under section 144 CrPC banning on sale of stationery, uniform etc by schools and also barred all the private schools in the district from charging admission fee for promotion of students to next class. |
