Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 5: Startling reports are emanating from intelligence headquarters. Reports are alarming and indicate that things in J&K have deteriorated to a dangerous extent. According to reports, "Intelligence sleuths have unearthed the terrorist organization Hizbul Mujahideen's penetration in the Jammu and Kashmir State Police". According to telephonic intercepts available with the Intelligence organizations, "Hizbul's local operators in the border areas were discussing with their leadership in Pakistan about the posting of certain police officers" and that the "Intelligence Bureau (IB) came to know these details after tapping the phone conversation between Imtiaz Alam, the launching commander of Hizbul Mujahideen and Anas Shakeel, bodyguard of Hizbul Mujahideen Chief, Syed Salahuddin". It is too well-know that Imtiaz Alam was involved in the terror activities from early 2000, engaging in the infiltration of terrorists to India and in 2007 he was detained by the Pakistan Army's Military Intelligence Directorate after he sent a twelve-man unit to reinforce his northern division commander, Mohammad Shafi Dar. Soon, though, Alam was released on ISI orders. According to telephonic intercepts, "In February 2018, the Indian agencies found that he was in regular touch with high-ranking Pakistani Army & ISI officers" and that "most of the talks were about the new infiltration attempts during the summer season". "Imtiaz Alam is in direct contact with Anas Shakeel, bodyguard of Hizbul Mujahideen Chief, Syed Salahuddin," according to intelligence sleuths. Reports emanating from intelligence headquarters said: "Some messages Imtiaz Alam sent to Anas Shakeel's Pakistan number: +92 30050 53105 even discuss the posting of one J&K Police officer Athar in the sensitive region of Kupwara". In the meantime, according to sources, "Intelligence Bureau has already alerted the J&K Police top brass about the 'leakages' in the state police, cautioning the possibility of moles or sympathizers of Hizbul Mujahideen in the organization. |
