| GGM Science College organizes visit to Radio Kashmir Jammu | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 17: The Department of English G.G.M. Science College, Jammu organized a field visit to the Radio Studio of Prasar Bharati, Jammu for the students of B.Sc. Sem-IV of Functional English on 17-04-2018 to equip students with the range of Broadcasting Skills which is a part of their curriculum. The visit provided the students a real insight into the working/functioning of the entire radio studio. Renu from Radio Kashmir, Jammu interacted with the students and gave them a comprehensive lecture on communication skills and the process of Broadcasting. A group of 22 students visited Prasar Bharati, Radio Kashmir Jammu accompanied by Dr. Geetanjli Rajput and Prof. Shaveta Gupta. This visit was organized by Prof. Ramneek Kour, Head Department of English. Dr. Satinder Singh, Principal of the institution appreciated the efforts of the department in organizing such programmes for the students in future also. He interacted with the students about their experiences during the visit and emphasized that with digital media gaining ground at such a pace, there is an increase in demand for skilled professionals and he hoped that such programmes with inspire the students to take up mass communication as a career. |
