Kishtwar, May 4: Youth of Kistwar have appealed Power Minister Sunil Sharma to provide employment to one member of each family in Chenab Valley Power Projects Limited (CVPPL), whose land and houses have been occupied for construction of Pakal Dul, Keru and Kawar hydro electric projects.
Joginder Bhandari said that the affected families of these hydro power projects have become landless and houseless and they should be accommodated permenent employment in CVPPL at par with the land effected families of Kishan Ganga power project where 88 land effected persons were given employment in NHPC.
He has also demanded that no worker should be engaged in these projects on transfer basis as it has been reported that AFCONS Infrastructure Limited is planning to engage manpower on the transfer basis from other projects. |
