Jammu, May 4: Mocking at the e-governance claims of government, the website of Indira Gandhi Government Dental College (IGGDC) Jammu still mentions former minister Bali Bhagat as the Minister for Health and Medical Education. Bhagat was dropped last week as the minister during the cabinet reshuffle. MLA Samba, Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, replaced Bhagat. As one surfs the website of IGGDC, http://iggdcj.edu.in/, it's shocking to find that the home page has not been updated after the cabinet reshuffle took place. It carries picture of Bhagat with the title "Message from Minister for H&ME". "Why is the name of Dr Manyal, the incumbent Health Minister, not mentioned on the IGGDC website? It's very regrettable on the part of senior officers at the helm of affairs," sources said. "The condition of government websites especially under Health department speaks volumes about the callous approach of the concerned despite having sufficient funds at their disposal," the sources said. Pertinently, in this era of information technology, the much-hyped e-governance in Jammu and Kashmir is proving to be a big failure. |
