| Abducted woman recovered, accused arrested | | | Early Times Report
RAMBAN, May 4: Police have recovered a kidnapped woman of Kunfer Chanderkote and also managed to arrest the kidnapper from Lakhanpur in district Kathua.
The arrested kidnapper was identified as Jagdeep Raj of Dursopur Miran Sahib, Jammu.
A case under FIR No 20/18 under section 366/109 of Ranbir Penal Code (RPC) was registered at Police Station (PS) Chanderkot.
After legal formalities and medical examination victim wa handed over to her legal heirs.
It is pertinent to mention here that the family of the victim had lodged a complaint at PS Chanderkot regarding abduction of the lwoman by the accused. Immediately after registering the FIR, police started collecting human as well as technical intelligence regarding whereabouts of the accused and zeroed in on a particular track.
Thereafter, police team made hectic efforts and traced the vehicle in which the accused was travelling along with the victim and immediately arrested the accused and recovered the victim. The vehicle used in committing the offence has also been seized. |
