Govt seems non-serious to resolve clerical cadre issues | Govt to meet clerks on May 6, 2016! | | Early Times Report Jammu, May 4: Making a mockery of the long pending demands of the clerical cadre of various Government departments, the authorities also seem non-serious to sort out their long pending issues which can be well understood from its meeting notice with the representative of clerical cadre issued today in which a rwo year back date has been mentioned. Undoubtedly, the clerical cadre of the State Government has been fighting for their long pending demands specifically pay anomalies since years and in this connection various governments in past held meetings with the representatives but despite hollow assurances, their demands remained unresolved. In its latest gaffe, Government today i.e. (04-05-2018) issued a meeting notice which reads as Minister for Finance, Labour & Employment has desired to convene a meeting on 06.05.2016 at 5.00 Pm at Banquet Hall Srinagar regarding the issues related to Clerical Cadre. Chief Secretary J&K and Principal Secretary Finance will also be participating in the meeting. The meeting notice issued from the Personal Section of the Minister for Finance, Labour & Employment Civil Secretariat Srinagar/Jammu which was undersigned by Private Secretary to Minister for Finance, Labour & Employment in which it has invited Mohammad Sultan President Clerical Association J&K, Ravi Singh Bhave, Babu Hussain Malik, Malik Mohammad Farooq, Ali Mohd Mir and Jeelani Naik. Although notice was very little in content but official concerned seemed forgot to relook the date for meeting which ostensibly shows that the non seriousness of the Government. Pertinent, the judgment of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir passed in SWP No. 3058/2015 has not been implemented by the Government and in this regard the clerical cadre has also filed Contempt Petition. They have been demanding for removal of pay anomalies of 5th Pay Commission while granting the pay scale of Rs. 4000-6000 to Junior Assistant, Rs.4500-7000 to Senior Assistant and Rs 5500-9000 to Head Assistant. |
