| People demand competent ZEO for Sunderbani, removal of corrupt incharge | | | A B Sharma

Rajouri, May 4: Absence of a full time Zonal Education Officer for Sunderbani for last more than six months has started reflecting in the lower pass percentage of the students in various classes and people have demanded a full time ZEO for the tehsil. People are also raising finger of accusation against the incumbent in-charge ZEO, lower hathal who happens to be a principal of Higher Secondary School Devak , as he has been accused of arbitrary attachments of teachers and doing nothing substantial to improve the education scenario. "I have already been overburdened with my duties as the principal of the school and officiating as ZEO is secondary responsibility for me ," said the officiating ZEO when asked about deteriorating results. It is in place to mention that sarpanches and panches of various villages have been approaching different quarters in the Sunderbani education department with a plea to install the fully-fledge ZEO in the tehsil so that the sufferers may not suffer more, but to no avail. Meanwhile, people of the area have demanded posting of a full time ZEO and removal of incumbent incharge ZEO lower hathal so that attachment policies taken up by him could be stopped.
The people also alleged that government was not taking serious cognizance of the issue. The sarpanches , panches and locals have requested the intervention of the education minister to take personnel interest in the issue so that a competent ZEO could be posted in the zone without any further delay. |
