Govt schools in Poonch face official apathy | | | MS Nazki Early Times Report Poonch, May 3: Most of the government schools in this frontier district have been facing shortage of potable water which makes the staff and students to suffer in the hot summer weather source said here today. They said most of the government primary, middle high and higher secondary schools in Poonch district in general and Mendhar sub division in particular are without any water facility. Due to non availability of water washrooms and toilets go defunct putting the staff and students especially females at larger inconvenience in some cases teacher press the students into service to fetch some water from somewhere, they added while talking to Early Times some parents alleged that our children who study in government schools are told by their teachers to bring water for drinking and washing purpose in the schools and they go in groups and bring water in small utensils from far off natural resource for their schools they further added. Official apathy has been widely condemned by the people of all walks of life and sought the attention of district authorities to look into the matter to over come the problem of non availability of water in Govt schools in their district they added. |
