DM Kishtwar slaps PSA against former HUJI commander

KISHTWAR, May 4: District Magistrate Kishtwar, Angrez Singh Rana today issued an order under J&K Public Safety Act 1978 against former top rank militant commander of banned militant outfit HUJI namely Mohammad Abdullah Gujjar alias Dullah alias Sher Khan be detained for a maximum period.
"Whereas, the Senior Superintendent of Police Kishtwar vide letter no Conf/Dentention/18/4468-71/C dated 02-05-2018 has submitted the Dossier/material record in respect of Mohammad Abdullah Gujjar for issuance of detention order under the provision of J&K Public Safety Act 1978," the order of DM Kishtwar reads.
After perusal of the record submitted by SP Kishtwar, the main activities of the subject are summarized as including the subject remained active militant of Harkatul Jehadi Islami (HUJI) organization with effect from 2001 and remained involved in more than nine FIRs in police station Chatroo and Kishtwar.
The subject remained involved in motivating the local youths for their active participation in their ulterior motives and in this regard he inspired the young age group and imparted trainings in handling the arms and ammunition and recruited them in the said militant organization, the subject was put in jail for the maximum period and reportedly bailed out by the court Principal District & Session Judge Kishtwar on 28-04-2018, the DC observed.
