Srinagar, May 4: A man was shot dead while his wife sustained critical bullet injuries after militants opened fire upon them at Harwan area of Sopore in north Kashmir's Baramulla district.
Official sources said the ultras fired upon Mohammad Ashraf Mir and his wife Saima at around 9:25 pm at their residence at Mir Mohalla Harwan.
Both were rushed to Sub-Dist hospital Sopore where Ashraf, a driver by profession, was declared as brought dead on arrival, they said.
A police official said a case has been registered into the incident. |
