Poonch, May 7: Although district power development department Poonch is claiming effective supply of electricity, the people have busted these claims.
According to them, electric wires of ward no 09 transformer to Sarana Mohalla in Shiendra village of Poonch district continue to pose threat to the lives of commuters at various locations. The wires, people said, hang from trees.
The loosely hanging wires, people said, have already caused injury to several people. It is pertinent to mention here that locals have highlighted the issue many a time through newspapers but the department has not taken any action.
They have demaned shifting of the poles and removal ,of wires from trees. They have also demanded removal of worn out poles. |
