Lal Singh supports WPRs' demands | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 15: BJP leader and former minister Choudhary Lal Singh on Tuesday joined the West Pakistan Refugees (WPRs) monthly meeting to press for their long pending demands. Addressing the WPRs, Singh said: "When I was the MP I spoke in parliament for West Pakistan Refugees. No one speaks for these refugees." Singh said he will continue his fight for "Dogra dignity". He said wants justice for the Rassana rape and murder victim. Singh sought support of the people for his 'Dogra swabhimaan' rally which he is going to hold on May 20. He claimed that about 1 lakh people from different walks of life will participate in the rally which is for justice. "I will continue my demand of a CBI probe in the Rassana incident. It's the demand of Jammu people. Kashmir media and Delhi media have done a lot of damage to the reputation of Dogras of Jammu," Singh said. Taking a dig at the PDP-BJP coalition government in the state, Singh asked, "What is wrong in ordering a CBI probe (in the Rassana incident) when lakhs of Dogras are demanding the same." |
