Udhampur, May 15: Jammu and Kashmir Technical Employees Federation of Power Development Department Jammu Province has extended its support in favour of protesting employees who are agitating for their demands at Srinagar. According to press release, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of H.D Singh provincial president at Udhampur in which several demands were highlighted. In the meeting speakers extended their full support in favour of union members who held protest demonstration at Sringar few days back and threaten to launch chain strike in Jammu province if there genuine demands are not met in time . Speakers also condemned police action against protesting employees at Srinagar . Speaking on the occasion provincial president highlighted long pending demands of PDD employees which include. implementation of SRO-149,removal of stagnation since 20 yeara, fixation of seniority, service rules for technician, risk allowance for all employees of PDD & regularization of daily wagers and need basis workers. Union Leader Sudesh Kumar highlighted that despite decision given by Division Bench of State High Court in which court has held that Matriculate ITI holders of PDD entitled to benefit of SRO 149 of 1973. State government and PDD has failed to implement direction despite lapse of three months . Prominent participants included Sudesh Kumar Khursheed ahmed Bhat M.R Kichloo ,Rajinder Singh , Rangeel Singh , Dinesh Kumar , Chanchal Singh , Vijay Singh , Om parkash , Suriender Singh MohmedTofail , Charan Singh and many others. |
