ReT Forum to protest on June 4
5/27/2018 10:45:04 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, May 27: J&K ReT Teachers' Forum today announced to hold state wide protests from 4 June 2018 onwards for delinking of SSA salary, due to which thousands of SSA teachers are suffering badly.
According to press release, this was announced in monthly meetings of J&K ReT Teachers' Forum held at Jammu and Srinagar simultaneously under the chairmanship of State President Vinod Sharma and state Chairman Gazi Abdul Aziz respectively.
Vinod Sharma on behalf of J&K ReT Teachers' Forum said that on May 12 education minister framed a committee headed by MOS Education Shakti Raj Parihar to find out the permanent solution of SSA Salary within 15 days and we anxiously waited for 15 days and majority of ReT Teachers didn't indulge in any confrontation , but today on the last date of the said period ( 15 days) no blueprint has been shared by the committee thereby forcing ReTs to come on roads.
He said that J&K ReT Teachers' Forum has given one week ultimatum to the government to resolve this issue and if it fails to delink the SSA Salary from source of funding till June 3, 2018 , the ReTs will hold statewide protests from June 4,2018 onwards indefinitely and for this extreme step the government would be personally responsible. " We were assured by Hon'ble Education Minister Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali at Jammu that if within 15 days I fail to resolve this issue, I'll be sitting with you on protest and we want to remind Hon'ble Minister that 15 days have been completed and problem is as it's and we urge him to choose the date of protest " he said
He also demanded immediate release of SSA Salary for the month of February 2018 as same has been kept pending by the department without any reason and instead salary has been released for the month of March 2018 which is an unjustified action and unnecessary harassment of SSA teachers which will never be tolerated at any cost and said that ReT Forum will not accept the salary if same is released without 7th pay commission.
Others who spoke on the occasion were Sukhdev Singh Sumbria, Naresh Sharma, Mahesh Kumar,Raj Kumar Dubey, Sham Sharma, Lekh Raj Parihar, Manzoor Khan, Subash Chander, Rakesh Singh, Balwan Singh, Shahnawaj kazmi, Subash Chander, Ranjeet Singh, Hari lal nag, Rajinder sharma, Surinder Singh, Rajeet Singh, Inderjeet Singh, Anil sharma, Rajinder Singh, Manhor choudhary, santosh , Ragubir Singh, Bodh Raj, Ishwar and others.
