Poonch, May 27: Under the nose of police, pesticides, insecticides and other deadly chemicals are being sold in open market in Mendhar town with impunity but law enforcing agencies seem to be in no mood to take the cognizance of matter, source said here today They said in Mendhar town pesticides and other deadly chemicals were sold on shops and on Rehri's (hand carts) without any check from any corner putting a direct threat to the lives of people mostly youngsters who purchase them and use for abortive bids on their lives on petty issues source said adding had not been these dangerous chemicals freely available in the market the youngster would have no access to these fatal chemicals While talking to a youngster who was brought to sub division hospital Mendhar for treatment after he had consumed some poisonous substance, wished not be named told Early times that he had a dispute with his parents at home and in a fit of anger he purchased some insecticide from a Rehriwala in Mendhar and consumed in order to end his life but later on he was saved People have expressed resentment against the local police which failed to keep a check on the developments and allow miscreants to go se of tree. They said the traders who deal with such chemicals posses a valid license but in Mendhar town one gets these deadly poisonous substances freely on rehris they added.
