BJP's four year rule, a sordid tale of betrayals: Harsh | | | Early Time Report
JINDRAH, May 27: Accusing the BJP of trying to mislead the public on the completion of its four year rule in the centre by its fictional accounts of achievements, Jammu Kashmir National Panthers Party Chairman and former minister Harsh Dev Singh said that the public could no longer be hood winked by false narrative. Having virtually enticed the gullible masses by their seductive slogans during parliamentary and Assembly Elections, and having maneuvered their votes through false narrative, the BJP stood fully exposed during its four year term in office, said Harsh. He said that all the tall talk of good governance, corruption free system, "Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, "Achhe Din" besides other captivating slogans of roly poly, loud mouthed, over weight BJP leaders had proved a hoax with people seething with anger against their gross betrayals. Not only had the BJP abandoned their age old philosophy but taken a complete U-turn on all their professed promises after getting cradled in the cozy cushions of power, remarked Harsh. He was addressing huge public meetings in Jindrah village of Nagrota constituency. Alleging that corruption in high officers had broken all previous records, Singh said that the top state BJP leaders' names had figured in major scams, disproportionate assets, illegal land holdings, unauthorized constructions encroachments on state and Forest lands besides transfer scams. He said that there were further allegations against many of them of running unauthorized stone crushers, bricks kilns, lime kilns, Hot mix plants in violation of the Environmental laws and without requisite NOCs with none to take cognizance. Reminiscing the tall claims of PM of "Na Khaoonga, Na Khane Doonga" Singh said that a beginning was required to be made from BJP Ministers, MPs and MLAs whose assets had witnessed a steep rise during the last 3-4 years with enquiry against them into their rags to riches story. Strongly condemning the decision of unilateral ceasefire, Singh said that the BJP had surrendered even the most sensitive issue of security merely for the lust of power. He said that the decision of one sided ceasefire and amnesty for stone pelters had frittered away the gains achieved by security forces besides having dampening effect upon their morales. While the issue of Rohingyas and Bangladeshis had created an alarm in entire Jammu region, the BJP leaders made statements of evicting them umpteen times for public consumption only without any follow up action even initiated in this regard, he lamented. |
