Jammu, May 27: To commemorate the 54th death anniversary of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru, Congress activists organized a function at R S Pura to pay tributes to late Prime Minister. According to press release, the Pradesh congress sectary Pawan Raina presided over the function whereas; dozens of party activists paid floral tributes to Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru. Throwing light on the philosophy and life of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru Subash Gupta said that his life was full of devotion, dedication, and truthfulness for the nation. It was Pt. Nehru, who designed the modern India and laid the strong foundation stone for its future. "Pt. Nehru worked not only for India but for the world community at large," he added. Prominent among those who paid tributes to Jawahar Lal Nehru includes Sham Lal Bhagat, Gurmeet Singh, Kulbinder Singh, Ex Panch Hari Chand, Mukesh Gupta and others. |
