| No employment benefit to local youths in Pakal Dul HEP: Joginder Bhandari | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, May 27: A meeting of unemployed youths of District Kishtwar was held today under the Chairmanship of Joginder Bhandari. In the meeting the participants strongly opposed the Management of AFCONS company for subletting the outcome muck of power house of Pakal Dul HEP to some selected contractors having their own dumpers and tippers for lifting of muck who have engaged their own drivers and helpers. A question arises here that where the local drivers and helpers go? Joginder Bhandari Chairman Chinar Power Projects workers Union has said the process adopted by the company will not provide employment to local unemployed youths of the district in case the company will hire vehicles like Dumpers and tippers for lifting of muck through some selected contractors. He also said that the company is appointing one by one manpower from outside the state or on transfer basis and our power minister is mute spectator on this issue. Besides the company management is requested to hire a building at Kishtwar so that the youths could submit their application forms for their absorption. |
