| With sweeping theatrical endeavors, Kajal makes it to pinnacle of national success | | | Early Times Special
Jammu, May 11: Taking her thespian endeavors to decorative pinnacle on national as well as international level, Kajal Suri , a name synonym with triumph and sensation in world of theater is daughter of soil presently at national capital and making sweeping success in novel ventures.
A programme executive at All India Radio (AIR) New Delhi for drama section , Kajal, a resident of Jammu carries an unending string of awards and recognitions to her credit which puts her apart on the highest pedestal of woman's acknowledgment of integrated acumen and love towards theatre .
Besides impacting the national scene with her acting histrionics and directorial intellect, Kajal before moving to Delhi had already embossed her name in gold letter words on state's theatrics by bagging seven times best actress awards, Poornviraam's Maya as her recent haul in Annual Drama Festival of J&K in 2015.
Recipient of Greenfly Excellence Award 2017 in theatre drama and voice and award for contribution in the field of Hindi theatre 2017 at Sri Ram Centre , Kajal s is one of the frontline choice as guest faculty to many national and international theatre events.
" Though being totally consumed in theatre for world betterment, particularly aising issues of women emancipation and empowerment through my theatrical endeavours , my focus is to make theatre an exciting global conncet for all where addressing of social grievances could be highlighted," said Kajal while talking from New Delhi.
Having also received 10th National Women Excellence Award 2017 for contribution in field of Theatre in which 25 women from all over India were selected for the award , she is also a regular lecturer deliverer on Radio Drama Planning and Production to students at National Academy of Broadcasting and Multimedia New Delhi.
To her credentials in theatre, Kajal has organized many national theatre festivals and had brought a strong contingent of best plays and player in Jammu in 2017 as a tribute to her late father , Vijay Suri, a well acclaimed heater and films personality .
Her own contribution as actor in theater and television medium counts to above hundred TV serials, telefilms and TV plays done for Doordarshan Kendra Srinagar and produced and directed nearly 50 besides documentaries also.
Endowed with natural instinct as best woman actor, director and producer of the contemporary times , Kajal was selected by Punjabi Academy among five women directors for Punjabi Women Director's Festival- a prestigious women award. She was also honored with Sur Aradhana Award for contribution in field of art and culture.
After being invited as Guest faculty at Sri Ram Centre for voice diction modulation in Direction, she was chosen as chief guest and judge by Sahitya Kala Parishad for events like Delhi university nukkad natak and Vishwavidhyalay theatre festivals.
Also a recipient of Akashwani Annual Award for production Prem Ka Sur Astha Ka Sangeet, Lalleshwari on national integration, Kajal was an honorable invitee by department of MCRC ( Mass Communication Research Centre ) Jamia Milia Islamia university as one of the members in selection committee to conduct and take interviews for students taking admission in the university. |
