| Special GST refund fortnight' to be launched | | | Jammu, May 30: The Central Board of Indirect Tax and Customs(CBIC) has launched a nationwide "Special refund fortnight "from 31st May to 14th June to clear all the pending GST refunds including refund of GST paid on inputs and exports.
This Special Refund Fortnight would be observed both by Central Tax and State Tax authorities of Jammu and Kashmir. This drive is expected to benefit the taxpayers whose refunds are pending. Commissioner of Central Tax, Jammu and Kashmir, Gyan Sarvar stated that during this 15 days special drive, the authorities will process all types of GST refunds. "The endeavour is to clear all refunds expeditiously and this will ensure quick release of refund amounts for the taxpayers" said Sarvar. He said that the aim of the special drive is to clear all GST refund applications received on or before April 30. Additional Commissioner of Central Tax C.L.Dogra has been designated as the nodal officer for the special refund drive. The taxpayers can reach out to him for any assistance in this regard.
He further said that all those taxpayers who have applied for refunds online but have not submitted hard copies to the jurisdictional authorities should contact their jurisdictional authorities to get refunds sanctioned.
During the period, the problems faced by the tax payers with regards to refunds would be addressed on real time basis. |
