| 2 soldiers injured in mine blast in Poonch | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, June 9: Two soldiers including a havildar received injuries in a mine blast that triggered in the afternoon near Line of Control while manning the forward area in a Poonch district today.
Sources said reportedly the soldiers were part of a patrol party when one among them inadvertently put foot on an abandoned mine reportedly came out of the land due to heavy rains. The injured soldiers have been identified as Havildar A. Hundre who have received injuries in the lower limb of right foot. Another soldier namely A. Nankumar having only 2 years of service received injury in the lower part of his left foot.
Both the soldier after providing initial treatment on the spot were later rushed to field army hospital at Poonch for further treatment.
On May 7 in one similar incident two soldiers namely rifleman A.Khatri and sepoy I. Donge were injured in Bhimber Gali sector in Mendher tehsil . |
