Jammu, June 11: The JK Grameen Bank conducted 217 financial literacy programmes across the state. According to press release, the motto of these camps is to bridge up the gap between the rural unbanked masses and banking by increasing the customer awareness. Vipan Gupta, Sr. Manager MFFI department J&KGrameen Bank informed the customers regarding various modes of getting cashless transactions from banks, various safeguards to be kept in mind in order to be aware and prevent cases of cheating/corruption while availing different banking facilities with special reference to use of ATM cards, Mobile banking etc. He impressed upon the participants not to use any middle man for availing any benefits from bank and approach the bank directly. He highlighted that with our thrust on enabling an impactful mindset cash to cashless econmy, we are nurturing environment of transformation across our clientele, structures, systems, processes and skills in the bank as whole. The masses are also demonstrated about technological innovations in banking industry including NEFT/RTGS, online banking,IMPS , SMS banking, Rupay Card, Aadhaar Enabled Payment System & Direct Benefit Transfer etc to promote the digital banking and move towards the less - cash economy. |
