Minister affects 6 day reshuffle in PDD | Ignoring seniors, deptt elevates blue-eyed to post of DCP | | Early Times Report Jammu, June 11: A Minister of coalition government had reportedly ordered unnecessary reshuffle in Power Development Department (PDD), with a sole motive of elevating a blue-eyed official to the post of In-charge Development Commissioner Power (DCP) that too for a brief period of just six days. The official was at the verge of her superannuating age and the decision to elevate her for six days has reportedly done with a wider game plan. Sources informed Early Times that on the last week of May, the Power Development Department issued orders of transfers of three senior officials of the department. "One such official was not even confirmed Chief Engineer and was working as incharge Chief Engineer, due to delay in conducting of Departmental promotion Committee (DPC)", sources said, adding that but the incharge Chief Engineer was elevated to the post of Incharge Development Commissioner Power (DCP) that too at a time, when only six days of her job had left. The blue-eyed official retired from the government service on 30th of May and once again on the June 1, once again the other official was given the charge of the post of DCP, which he was holding earlier. "This all was done by the PDD department on the instructions of a Minister, who had also from the same region, from where the official was actual resident", sources said, adding that there were many other senior officials in the department, who were seniors to the official but were not elevated to the post of DCP but it was beyond imagination, why a particular official was chosen by the department. "Why such unnecessary reshuffle was done by department, one thing is almost clear that it was done to benefit the official and six days tenure on the post, will probably going to help the official in upcoming days", sources alleged. |
