Early Times Report Poonch, June 11: In continuation of drive against bovines smuggling, Poonch Police rescued 94 bovines from the clutches of Bovine smugglers. Police spokesman said that a team of Surankote police station headed by Inspector Anzir Mir, SHO Surankote along with SI Sukhbir Singh in-charge police post Behramgalla under the supervision of DySP Reyaz Choudhary and overall supervision of ASP Poonch Anwar ul Haq raised nakkas at different places on Mughal Road today. "During the checking police officials intercepted 9 Vehicles (Tata Mobile 06, Junga 03) Tata mobile vehicle bearing registration no. JK21C -6484, JK12- 6065, JK11B 9204, JK11B-8216, JK11B-4668, JK12A-0318, Junga bearing registration no. Jk03D-1518, Junga bearing registration no. JK12-7455, Junga bearing registration no. JK12A-6939 which were carrying bovines", said spokesman adding that these all vehicles were seized and 94 bovine were rescued. Police said that three persons were arrested who have been identified as Imran Khan, Zaffar Iqbal of Thanamandi, Mohd. Aslam of Nagrota Palma Tehsil Rajouri while other managed to escape from the spot. |
