Jammu, June 12: Natraj Natya Kunj, Cultural Society, Jammu (Regd.), today organised a month long folk theatre workshop and interaction sessions here at Studio Ranglok, Bakshi Nagar. The financial assistance for which was provided by Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Jammu. The workshop will focus on bringing about a better understanding of the intricacies of dying forms of Dogri Folk Theatre. Experts from different fields of theatre will interact with students, deliver lectures, do demonstrations and will share their experience with the young aspirants. Aaditya Bharti, an alumnus of Dep't. of Indian Theatre, Punjab University, Chandigarh, will be the Director of the workshop. President NNK Kumar .A. 'Bharti', told the media that the group is conducting such type of workshops to create a space for learning for both adults and children and to encourage them to relate to folk art. This workshop will help participants explore and improvise rhythm, movement and music. |
