What about Petrol bomb accused from Jammu? | Amnesty to stone pelters | |
Ashwani Sharma Early Times Report Udhampur, June 12: Close to the heels of release of 6000 stone pelters in Kashmir by orders of Union Home Ministry, certain sections here have started demanding the release of youth who were held by the police for throwing petrol bomb on a Kashmir bound truck two years ago in which a Kashmiri got killed. It is pertinent to mention here that Union Home Minister Raj Nath Singh in his recent visit to Kashmir has announced the release of 6000 stone pelters in Kashmir as they had allegedly committed the crime for the first time. "The stone pelters are anti-nationals as they attack security forces with stones while the boys who hurled a petrol bomb on a Kashmir based truck were disturbed as a Kashmiri MLA had hosted beef party in the premises of Jammu and Kashmir Legislature. The beef party had hurt the religious sentiments of our boys and they committed crime," said a relative of one of the nine boys languishing in jail for the crime. He also said that neither of these boys hailing from Udhampur had ever raised pro-Pakistan slogans nor did they ever waved Pakistani or ISIS flags. "If Kashmiri boys can be released and can be termed as innocent by none else than the Union Home Minister himself then same yardstick is required to be adopted for the boys of Jammu region," a leader from Panthers Party said. Santosh Devi a local of Udhampur town said that patience of Jammu people should not be tested and it was the Jammu region and not the Kashmir that had voted the BJP to power. Now, the BJP should prove its spine and should also work to safeguard Jammu interests. |
