SRTC VRS Union holds protest demonstration | | | Early Times Report Jammu, June 12: A demonstration was held under the leadership of Dev Raj Bali President VRS Union at Press Club Exhibition Ground, Jammu against the Transport Higher authority J&K Govt. and SRTC Management for not clearing their pending dues. They alleged that they have been struggling for the same for the last more than 7 years and during this long struggle 38 VRS/GHS employees of J&K SRTC have breathed their last as they could not afford good treatments for want of funds. "In this long struggle we requested to every concerned minister and officials but they did not pay any heed to our genuine demands of pending dues and we have been every time assured that our dues will be cleared within a shortest tip but alas till date our dues have not been cleared in toto," Dev Raj said. Now they once again appealed to the Chief Minister and Dy. CM J&K State to intervene into the matter and release long pending dues of 6th Pay Commission arrears and the total amount of Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) since 1999 comes to Rs.167649497/- of 742 VRS/GHS employees of J&K SRTC for which bills are already prepared and are lying in the Secretariat be released at the earliest. |
