BJP Govt hoodwinking displaced family: Ravinder
7/6/2018 10:30:34 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 6: Seeking release of full package Rs. 30 lac per displaced family of 1947, 1965 and 1971, PCC, Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma blamed BJP led Centre government of hoodwinking the displaced persons of 1947, 1965 and 1971 by extending the date of disbursement of meager amount Rs. 5.5 lakh against the promised Rs. 30 lakh per displaced family just to keep them engaged keeping an eye on General elections of Lok Sabha.
Reacting to the central Government announcement to continue the disbursement of installment of 5.5 lakh to the DPs of 1947, 1965 and 1971, Sharma questioned the need for such an announcement as all bonafide DPs have to be disbursed the amount already announced, without any deadline, as the delay in disbursement of amount already announced is due to cumbersome procedure and the deliberate tactics on the part of the government to cause delay the disbursement of the amount already announced.
The obvious reason for cumbersome procedure and delay was deliberate to keep the DPs engaged so that they do not seek answer from BJP government about the promised amount of Rs. 30 lac per DP family as recommended by the joint parliamentary committee.
He said that the deceitful silence of BJP government at the centre and the leaders on the repeated questions of DPs about the remaining amount of the financial component and other component of the relief package recommended by the Congress-NC government to the centre clearly demonstrate that the BJP leadership exploited the DPs by assuring to provide them full amount of package along with other component. But after coming to power BJP led government at the centre is non-committal even after more than four years of its rule and when general elections are around the corner. He demanded immediate sanction of the full package to the DPs of 1947, 1965 and 1971 to stop harassment of Displaced community.
