5 day All India Painters camp concludes at Bhadarwah Campus JU

Bhaderwah, July 6 : The five days All India Painters Camp concluded at Bhadarwah organized by Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Arts, Culture and Languages (JKAACL) concluded.
The valedictory function of the camp held at the auditorium of the Bhaderwah Campus University of Jammu. Prof. GM Bhat Rector Bhaderwah Campus was the chief guest on the occasion while as Students, Teachers, senior officials from Bhaderwah campus and JKAACL were present during the valedictory function. Students of various departments of the campus and Little Angels School presented colourful cultural programme depicting the dynamic culture of the state. The artists appreciated the students who performed the cultural programme. This is for the first time in the History of Bhadarwah that All India Painters camp was organized, in which National level artists participated.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. GM Bhat hailed the Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Arts, Culture and Languages for organizing this camp in this Chenab region which is being held twice a year in different parts of the state. "The motive of the Art camp is to promote the heritage and culture of the area, with main motive to boost the hidden talent of the youngsters and inspire them to Art and creativity," he said, adding that such camps will inspire the youngsters towards Art and to provide a vast picturesque sceneries to the participants, which they can draw on their canvas.
Emphasizing the importance of holding such camps, the Rector, observed that the getting together of artists from various parts of the State and other parts of the Country encourages creative activities and, besides, promotes integration in our vast country.
In this camp, 12 National repute Artists from all over the country including Lucknow, Delhi, Mumbai and Bihar, beside Jammu and Kashmir participated. During the camp these artists devolved their painting art work based on different social and natural landscape themes.
The participating Artists expressed their gratitude to Rector Bhaderwah Campus and JKAACL for providing such a beautiful and mesmerizing location for the valedictory function. Cultural Officer Doda, Assadullah Wani said that during this camp, Artists visited different locations of Bhadarwah valley for their assignments (paintings) and it was great experience for them as well to draw the nature on their canvas,"
