Affected by Pak shelling, family awaits Govt's assistance | | | Gurdas Kumar Early Times Report Vijaypur, July 12: At a time when Government is constructing bunkers for the safety of the border villagers, a family affected with Pak shelling at Ramgarh sector has been forced to live in miserable conditions under tinned roof, hoping to get Government's attention. An elderly man Shanker Das son of Bani Ram of village Keso Manhasan Ramgarh Sector of district Samba had applied for construction of house under BPL scheme with BDO Ramgarh four times at different occasion but his application was not entertained due to laxity on the part of the department. While narrating his ordeal, Shaker Das said that first time he applied in 2014 when his house collapsed due to floods in the State. He approached the then BDO Rakesh Dubey and submitted his file but it went missing due to department's negligence and he again submitted file and this time also it met with the same fate. After getting dejected, Shanker Das approached the former Minister Chander Parkash Ganga and sought his help for construction of house and submitted an application which was shockingly sent to the concerned BDO through a passenger auto to handover the application. But when present BDO Ramagarh was contacted whether he has received the application of Shanker Das, he replied that he has not received any application of this name. When Early Times contacted the BDO Ramgarh Mukesh Sharma in this connection, he expressed helplessness to provide any assistance to the seeker by giving reason that he is already living in house covered with metal roof sheet. |
