NCP demands action against bullet proof vest procurement scam | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 12: Former Minister and NCP Chief J&K State Thakur Randhir Singh has demanded immediate stern action against the police officers whosoever involved in a major scam in the procurement of thousands of bullet proof vests and headgears and bullet proofing of Gypsies. Singh said the purchases of over 100 crore were made by the Police Head quarters for the Jammu and Kashmir police and para military Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) during last financial year because it is related to precious lives of our police personnel's who are giving "their today for our tomorrow". Singh added that the J&K police in close coordination with the security forces is boldly fighting the challenge of terrorism in J&K . Thakur Randhir Singh senior most veteran called upon the Governor N N Vohra to immediately order punitive action against the police officials who are responsible for this big scam to set an example that there is zero tolerance in respect of security matters of the nation. The nation demands severe punishment against the police officials who have purchased the fake bullet proof and are responsible for the martyrdom of our brave jawans while fighting against the terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. Quoting on another incidence of prevalent corruption , Thakur Randhir Singh who was senior minister under G M Sadiq a well known administrator honest and secular Chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir during his period there was no scams in the state , pointed out that J&K State Vigilance organization(SVO) which is totally defunct and had not been taking any corruption cases to the logical conclusion. |
