65 years old face mauled by Bear | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, July 12: The face of sixty five years old nomad was badly damaged in a Bear attack in the pasture situated in upper reaches of Pir Panjal mountain ranges in the morning today. The victim has been identified as Abdul s/o Fangi resident of village Targain and presently shifted to Neeli Dhok (pastures) along with family and other nomads from the area. Jahangir Ahmed, SHO, Budhal said that the victim was cutting grass for the sheep and goats when a fully grown bear attacked on his face and damaged it badly. "On hearing cries of Abdul family members and other rushed to the spot and after long struggle rescued him while the bear disappeared in the forest. Abdul was rushed to Samote where he was provided first aid at Medical Centre at the HQs of 60 RR and later was shifted to district hospital for specialized treatment. Doctors at district hospital declared the condition of Abdul as critical and have decided to refer him to Government Medical College (GMC) hospital at Jammu after necessary/ immediate medical treatment. Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri has sanctioned immediate financial assistance to the family of Abdul and has also instructed the concerned for more relief after police report. |
