Early Times Report

Bhaderwah, Aug 4: The Non-Gazetted Forest Officers Association, Forest Division, Bhaderwah on Saturday observed a one day strike in protest against non-implementation of their demands which they called as already 'agreed demands'. The employees staged a protest at Forest Office Bhaderwah under the chairmanship of its Chenab circle coordinator Abdul Hafeez Dar and raised slogans in favour of their demands. The demands that the employees raised includes revival of pay anomaly, grant of two and half days extra salary per month, risk allowances, convening of DPC meeting of all cadres and stopping of practice elevation of Junior Foresters as In Charge Range Officers.
Talking to media persons, Coordinator NGFOA of Chenab circle, Abdul Hafeez Dar alleged that authorities have delayed fulfilling of their demands which he called as 'genuine demands'. He appealed to the concerned authorities to fulfill their demands at the earliest. He added that forest employees in the entire Chenab circle were on strike today in support of their demand.Dar also said that the authorities are deliberately delaying our genuine demands.
He appealed to resolve their pending agreed genuine demands failing to which the department will reinforce the protest in the state. Another leader of Sarfraz Ahmed expressing his disappointment said, "The entire state is on pen down strike, earlier the authorities have agreed to render our demands in the seventh pay commission but have not constituted the same."Later, a delegation of the Non-Gazetted Forest Officers Association called on the Divisional Forest Officer Bhaderwah and submitted a memorandum containing their demands. Din Mohd, Sanjay Kumar, Bipen Kumar, Ranjeet Singh, Zahoor Ahmed, Jangir Iqbal and other were present on the occasion.
