| TLMD III employees continue protest, block Jmu-Sgr NHW | | |  Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, Aug 4: Employees of Transmission Line Maintenance Division-III (TMLD) Udhampur today blocked Jammu- Srinagar National Highway (NHW) at Jakhani to express their resentment against the authorities for stopping their salaries.
A large number of employees gathered on Jammu-Srinagar NHW in continuation of their ongoing of their agitation and blocked the road due to which the vehicular movement remained suspended.
Raising slogans in support of their demands, the agitating employees argued that department has stopped the salary of all the employees working in this division from June 1 last onwards.
After getting the information, a police party rushed to the spot and dispersed the protesters after which the traffic on NHW started to ply normally. A little clash also broke out between police and protestors during the action initiated by cops. |
