Jammu, Aug 6: Gangyal police today claimed to have arrested four gamblers and recovered Rs 26000 as stake money from their possession.
Police spokesman said that today acting on information, Gangyal raided a place and apprehended four gamblers.
Police identified the gamblers as Sidhu Choudhary of Suchatgarh H.No -291 Uttam Nagar Gangyal, Fateh singh of Digiana, Charanjeet Singh of Sec-10 Gangyal and Ajay Singh of Digiana.
Police said that they have recovered Rs. 26000 as stake money and playing cards from their possession. They were booked under 13 Gambling Act and produced in the court of law.
The arrest and recovery was made by SI Nayat Ali-SHO Gangyal under the supervision of DySP Mohd Rafiq Manhas-SDPO City South and SP City South, Jammu Vinay Kumar. |
