Udhampur, Aug 6: Locals of Pancheri tehsil of district Udhampur have demanded model buses from Udhampur to Pancheri and discard the old buses at present plying on the road.
According to press release, locals said that more than 200 locals, employees and students depend on the morning buses to reach their schools, hospitals and surrounding areas but due to old-buses, passengers have been facing difficulties.
"One bus is not enough to transport all the passengers including students to reach school in time and their respective destinations.
The students and the local residents said that they had to walk many kilometres from their respective places to reach destination but due to old/broke buses people faced problems from many years", they said.
Prominent people who raise their voice were Ex. Sarpanch Mir Parbhat Singh Katoch, Ex. Sarpanch Panchari Chalna Baldev Singh, BJP Block President Madan Lal Khajuria. |
