Teacher-student training workshop concludes

Reasi, Sept 26: The ongoing three day Teacher-Student Training Workshop on Popularization Of Science Activities under ST Plan (Project) Govt. of India which was being organized by National Council for Urban and Rural Development Society (NCURDS), Jammu and Vigyan Prasar, Deptt. of Science & Technology, Noida concluded here at Amba Kids Home School, Panthal, Reasi today.
The proceedings of the final day of the program which concluded with a colourful valedictory function which was presided over by Dr. Ashaq Hussain, Master Resource Person. Gul Dev Raj, Block District officer, Panthal, Reasi was the Chief Guest where as Ashwani Katoch, Principal, Amba Home Kids School, Panthal, Reasi was the Guest of Honor of the occasion. In the three day program, more than one hundred and fifty (120) mobile school students and Thirty two (30) teachers drawn from various schools of Reasi participated who were given training and firsthand knowledge regarding various scientific concepts using Nature and other household materials as the teaching tools. Dr. Ashaq Hussain, Principal, Govt. Degree College, Chatroo, Kishtwar, Kuldeep Gupta, Education Department, Jammu, J&K and Arshad Hussain Dev, the main resource person of the program, in a coherent way discussed various activities to explore nature in and around surroundings. The activity tools like pooter, antarium, Terrarium, butterfly net, drip irrigation system etc were prepared during the Camp.
