NC, PDP to get zor ka jhatka, BJP may win unopposed
9/26/2018 11:00:53 PM
Early times Report
JAMMU, Sept 26: Fear gripped Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and National Conference because a good number of BJP candidates are likely to be elected unopposed on some seats of civic bodies in Kashmir Valley in general and South Kashmir in particular. Furthermore boycott call also provided counter productive for both the parties in Valley as well as in Jammu.
In Valley BJP is going to win a good number of seats and in Jammu many NC leaders have decided to violate party's direction and announced to contest elections.
Credible sources in some areas which has been projected as 'liberated zones' by anti-national elements, BJP candidates have managed to file nomination papers from these areas. In some wards only single candidate has filed his/her papers so in such seats these candidates would be declared elected unopposed on the last date of withdrawing papers. "A good number of BJP candidates are likely to be elected unopposed from Kashmir Valley", sources said and added that with the votes of displaced Kashmiri Pandits BJP is going to capture many seats in Kashmir Valley.
Credible sources said that PDP and NC leadership were of the impression that after their boycott call Union Government will succumb to their pressure tactics and will announce postponement of the civic bodies polls. But, the Centre, on the other hand, has made it a prestige issue to conduct these elections at any cost to give a clear message to the main stream as well as separatist parties of Kashmir Valley.
BJP has made it clear that maximum number of candidates would file their papers in Kashmir Valley.
