JKNPP protests continue over hike in fuel prices
9/26/2018 9:28:48 PM

Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 26: Jammu Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) today held a massive protest at Transport Yard Narwal against the continuous hike in the prices of petrol and diesel.
Led by Neeraj Gupta, zonal president JKNPP, a large number of protesting party workers lamented that the BJP led Modi government has no control over the price hike of petrol and diesel. Moreover, the centre government has no policy to overcome the situation. Addressing the protesters, Neeraj Gupta said that their statement regarding the rise in economy is just an eye wash adding that yesterday the cost of petrol reached more than Rs 90 which itself proves that the government has nothing to do with the problems of a common man.
They are not serious to help the poor and common man, they just want to eliminate them, said Gupta. Before 2014 the cost of LPG cylinder was Rs 414.00, the cost of petrol and diesel was Rs 61 and Rs 55 but at present the cost of LPG Cylinder is almost double, cost of petrol and diesel was hiked by almost 80 % which directly affects the cost of all other daily use items. Gupta said presently the common man is living a stressful life bearing burden of demonetization, GST, price hike of petroleum products and daily need items.
He further said that if these are the so called Achhe Din as promised by Hon'ble P.M. Narendra Modi then we wish we could get back our bad days when we can have a stress free sleep at night.
