Jammu Masters Badminton Championship begins today

JAMMU, Sept 26: All India Masters Badminton Championship - 2018 will commence from tomorrow. This event, which is going to be first of its own kind to be played in Jammu, is being organized by 'Tigers Badminton Association' under the Chairmanship of Dilbag Singh, Director General of Police, Jammu & Kashmir.
Dilbag Singh, DGP, the man behind the entire tournament is a strong believer of this game and the spirit of sportsmanship. He believes that badminton is a lifestyle, it unites people, improves health and gives the opportunity to have a good time. Therefore, he has been putting tremendous efforts in bringing the entire event together and also to encourage the players from across the nation. To add more, the entire J&K police has been doing a lot to promote sports in general and Badminton in particular.
The tournament will be concluded on September 30 in the Police Line Badminton Hall, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
This tournament has received a good amount of participation and around 240 players from different parts of the country will be a part of this event to make it a memorable one.
The matches will be played under different categories, including, Men's Doubles (Combined Age Group - 75+, 85+, 95+, 105+, 115+) Women's Doubles (Combined Age Group - 75+, 85+) Mixed Doubles (Combined Age Group - 75+, 85+)
A total of 300 matches will be conducted through the course of the tournament.
