NMC seeks release of pending wages of daily rated workers

Jammu, Sept 27: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) has appealed governor's administration to ensure timely disbursement of long pending wages of thousands of daily rated workers working in various departments of the state Govt. for year together so that this category of working class is in a position to celebrate important upcoming festivals of Navratras, Dussehra, Diwali, Bhaiyya Duj including Karva Chauth and Dhan Teras. With enthusiasm and fervor.
"The helpless community of daily rated workers is on the verge of collapse as neither they have been paid regularly salaries to lok after their families nor they in a position to educate their children and provide Medicare." Shastri said while addressing NMC workers rally here.
Shastri also said that the daily rated workers are preoccupied with uncertainties despite the most valuable public service and there is no way for them to celebrate these festivals without their long pending wages being paid to them.
Among others who were present in the rally included Rajan Babu Khajuria, B.S. Jamwal, Surrinder Kumar, Shiv Ram Sharma, Romesh Sharma, Jai Pal Sharma, Pardeep Kumar, Ram Singh, Darshan Bawa, Surinder Kumar, Sardhri Lal, Ram Singh, Sudesh Bhagat and others.
