198 candidates in Udhampur, 120 in Doda, 74 in Ramban file nominations for ULB polls

JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 27: A total of 198 candidates filed their nominations across the Udhampur district for one Municipal Council and two Municipal Committees of the district. Out of total, 138 are male candidates and 60 are female candidates who have filed their nomination papers.

78 candidates are from National Parties, 30 from State Parties and 90 candidates are contesting as Independent candidate for 41 wards of three local urban bodies.

On last day, a total of 120 candidates have filed their nomination in the district of which 59 candidates belong to National parties, 02 to State parties and 59 as Independent.

The security of the nomination papers shall be held on September 28 while October 1st has been fixed as the last date for withdrawal of the candidature.

Whereas, a total of 120 candidates filed their nomination papers for 03 Municipal Committees of Doda district. 53 candidates including 18 females filed their nomination for Municipal Committee Doda, 50 candidates including 15 females filed their nomination for Bhaderwah Municipal Committee and 17 candidates including 06 females filed their nomination for Thathri Municipal Committee.

In Ramban, a total of 74 candidates have filed their nominations for the ULB Polls of which 39 candidates belong to National parties, 2 belong to State Parties and 33 as Independent.
