3 years RI for duping people on name of Govt Job | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 27: Chief Judicial Magistrate Jammu Ashwani Sharma today awarded three years rigorous imprisonment and fine of Rs 5000 to Rajnish Kotwal who duped people on the name of appointment as Sub-Inspector in Police. While awarding Sentence, CJM Ashwani Kumar after hearing Senior PO Rohit Gupta for the State whereas Adv Bansi Lal Kotwal for the accused observed that prosecution has established its case for commission of offences U/S 420, 120-B RPC, the challan of prosecution as such, is accepted. The accused namely Rajnish Kotwal is hereby convicted for commission of offences U/S 420& 120-B/RPC. The accused Rajnish Kotwal is accordingly sentenced to undergo simple imprisonment for a period of two years with fine of Rs. 5000/- for commission of offence U/S 420 RPC and with further sentence of simple imprisonment for a period of one year with fine of Rs. 5000/- for commission of offence U/S 120-B RPC. Both the sentences shall however, run concurrently. |
