| Samba, Sept 29: Acting firmly against the drug menace and its propagators on the directions of Dr. Koshal Sharma- SSP Samba, District Police Samba arrested a drug peddler and recovered 700 Gm Poppy Straw under the jurisdiction of Ramgarh police station. Police spokesman said that a police party of Ramgarh police station headed by Inspector Vikas Dogra-SHO Ramgarh under the close supervision of S. Baljeet Singh, SDPO Vijaypur, during checking at Naka Rarian, Ramgarh, intercepted one person moving under suspicious circumstances. "During frisking, 700 grams of poppy straw was recovered from his possession", said spokesman adding that the identity of the accused has been as Raj Masih of Bainglad, Samba. He has been arrested on spot along with contraband item. In this regard, a case under FIR No. 66/2018 under section 8/15 NDPS Act registered at Ramgarh police station and investigation taken up. |
