SDH admin Charges Rs 1800 as ambulance fare from road accident victims

Sunderbani, Sept 29: Not with standing the talks claims of Government the ministration of sub divisional Hospital Sunderbani today in glaring example charged Rs 1800 as fare charges of ambulance which was provided to three people who sustained serious injuries in a road accident.
A truck loaded with apples was on way to Jammu from Srinagar via Mughal road today which met an accident near Seyot after the loaded truck skidded off the road and turned turtle. The ill-fated truck had three persons in it which included driver, Conductor and the fruit owner who sustained serious injuries after the incident
Locals joined by the people rushed them to SDH Sunderbani where doctors gave them first aid and referred all the three to GMCH Jammu for advanced treatment
Administration of SDH Sunderbani provided then an ambulance to reach the Jammu in time went they were charged Rs 1800 as ambulance fare while according to Government rules in such accidental cases ambulance were supposed to be provided free of cost
Meanwhile the relatives attending the of the injuries have at GMCH Jammu have alleged that they were left with no money in their pockets while they were carrying a sufficient cash with them besides some other things they added.
