| DLSA organizes legal awareness camp | | |  Early Times Report
KATHUA, Sept 29: A legal awareness camp was today organized regarding 'Rights of Senior Citizens' at Old Age Home Kathua under the chairmanship of District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Sanjeev Gupta (Pr. District & Sessions Judge Kathua).
Spl Mobile Magistrate Kathua, Sunil Sangra and Munsiff JMIC Kathua, Preet Simran Kour were the chief guests of the programme. All the retainer lawyers of DLSA and TLSC Kathua were also present in the programme. The main objective of the programme was to highlight various NALSA schemes including the rights of the senior citizens. The spokesman explained and informed to the public that as per the scheme the persons above the age of 60 years have been considered as senior citizens and are entitled to obtain various facilities as per the provisions of the scheme. He says they are planning to involve PLVs in an elaborate way in creating awareness rights of senior citizens. |
